-Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
-State of Texas Structural Engineer License (PE)
-7+ years of experience residential and commercial engineering.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Job Responsibilities: ✨
-Provide design for structural components necessary for the development of a project.
-Perform structural wood and steel calculations for commercial and residential projects.
-Perform reinforced concrete calculations for building slabs, spread footings, retaining walls etc.
-Structural engineer shall have ability of understanding, interpreting and correctly applying national codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC.
-Keep up to date on new engineering processes, techniques, and IMS and standards.
-Ensure that effective methods and design/engineering techniques are used.
-Resolve project issues and problems.
-Provide technical guidance to co-workers.
-Contribute to a team environment by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner.
-Works autonomously without direct supervision.
-Perform other duties as assigned.
-Strong working knowledge of design codes such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC.
-Should be proficient in using analytical software and have experience using AutoCAD, RISA & Microsoft Office Suite.
-Strong communication skills and interface skills with clients and project team members.
-Ability to multi-task, and a willingness to quickly change work assignments.
