Job Responsibilities:

Assist with the day-to-day operations of survey department

Assist with direction and monitoring of multiple survey crews.

Compiling and base mapping of survey data, generating staking calculations, preparing record plat maps, preparing ALTA surveys, preparing boundary surveys, topographic surveys, preparing loan maps, and other related functions.

Perform quality control of all survey documents, including survey plans, record plats, ALTA surveys, legal descriptions, deed searches, boundary surveys, topographic surveys and review of title commitment reports.

Able to prioritize and multi-task numerous survey projects.

Manage excellent time management skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.



Job Qualifications:

PLS in North Carolina or the ability to transfer/obtain from another state in a very short amount of time.

3 – 5 years’ experience

Must have valid drivers’ license.

Proficient in survey computations.

Proficient in office and field procedures.

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Experience with the use of Conventional, robotic and GPS survey and data collection equipment.

Knowledge of practices and principles used in land surveying and civil engineering; ability to identify potential conflicts and issues.

Knowledge of workplace safety and site safety principles.

Experience in subdivision design and associated surveying requirements for design and construction staking.

Experience with municipal utility infrastructure projects and associated surveying requirements for design and construction staking.

Experience with the use of Conventional, robotic and GPS survey and data collection equipment.
