Position Overview:✨
- Develop, estimate, sell and manage multiple, specialized, fast-track mechanical construction projects through effective communication, negotiation, scheduling, tracking, document control, and forecasting of costs and profitability.
- Generate business plan and expand revenue base through marketing, sales and business development.
- Train, mentor, and supervise Special Projects Group’s Project Engineers. Support and collaborate with company superintendents, foreman, engineers, detailers, and management to deliver quality and profitable projects.
Skills Required:✨
- Ability to accurately estimate mechanical work
- Ability to lead and foster positive working environment
- Ability to understand and communicate basic mechanical concepts
- Advanced organizational and time management skills
- Advanced computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Project, Access, and AutoCAD
Education/ Experience Requirements:✨
- 5+ years experience as a mechanical project manager
- Construction Management or Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering degree desired
- 3+ years experience managing PM’s and PE’s.
Job Functions:✨
- Take leadership role and ownership of estimates, project scoping, proposals, project safety and project execution while meeting or exceeding department profitability goals.
- Ability to provide conceptual HVAC and plumbing designs for estimating purposes.
- Understanding of mechanical systems costing and value analysis.
- Develop and maintain client relations.
- Review job estimate of direct reports and prepare project budgets.
- Estimate and negotiate change orders.
