Job Responsibilities:
Design and coordinate all mechanical distribution systems meeting project specifications
Occasionally review and oversee layout work performed by un-licensed engineers on staff
Occasionally manage and schedule 3D modelers/2D Drafters (VDC/BIM modelers) on staff
Review, edit and write project specifications
Generate and/or review production submittals against project specifications
Assist in estimating process for mechanical contractor by attending walk through’s, defining scope, and generating bill of materials
Job Qualifications:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Must be a registered Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in a U.S. state.
Candidate must have 2-5 years minimum experience with mechanical contracting company (preferred) and/or Architectural/Engineering firm
Strong experience with piping (hydraulics, pneumatics, conduit, etc.)
Experience with reviewing, editing and writing project specifications
Experience with generating and/or reviewing production submittals against project specifications
Experience with walk through’s, defining scope and generating bill of materials
Self-directed
Candidate must possess strong communication skills
Strong skills in Revit (or other compatible software) are required
